RPM specialist supports patient care services through remote patient monitoring including monitoring of cardiac rhythm. Monitoring services may vary dependent upon the client and require patient monitoring and observation that is continuous, intermittent as well as in response to defined alerts. The RPM specialist will utilize American Heart Association recommendations, algorithms to determine response including need for escalation to clinical teams. Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills in addition to an understanding of medical terminology. The role requires team participation and willingness to accept delegation. Flexibility, autonomy, organization and the ability to multi-task are essential characteristics.
Full and Part time availability for Days, Evenings and Night Shifts
(0700-1530, 1500-2330, or 2300-0730)
Essential Job Functions
Provides remote patient monitoring including based upon assignment and service expected by client
Utilizes algorithms to determine actions, communication, and escalations and responds accordingly
Communicates directly with patient and or caregiver, clinical staff as well as RPM technology /Biomed resources
Accurately documents in and retrieves information from RPM platform as well as the applicable electronic health record.
Ensures compliance to applicable policies and regulatory processes,
Assists with data collection and reporting as assigned
Maintains professional collaborative relationships with members of the care team.
Participates in process improvement, professional development, peer development, peer review and shared governance.
Responsible for other tasks and analysis as requested /directed.
