Our Sleep Enrollment Specialist is responsible for the intake responsibilities of NEW PAP equipment orders, including phone/fax, data entry and all functions associated with the initial intake of new PAP order. Administrative functions include phone and data entry and support for referral sources as well as patients. Review and entry of new patients into system, including patient demographic and insurance review, as well as review and qualification of documentation. Patient interaction may include MOP, scheduling and RT coordination with Clinical assistant. Effective communication with referral sources, clinical staff, patients and sales team is important. Patient and referral assistance and other non clinical functions as assigned.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Perform all intake responsibilities for NEW PAP patients/orders, including associated data entry & paperwork
  • Provide excellent customer service and non-clinical troubleshooting resolution to patients, referrals and staff.
  • Schedule home and office visits for the staff Respiratory Therapists (RT) at initial patient contact, when possible.
  • Support branch respiratory functions including assisting with individual and/or centralized patient scheduling.
  • Serve as a back up to perform non-clinical processes for PAPs, including compliance downloads, data entry, printing, scheduling, follow up and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct non-clinical mask fitting session with existing customers; provide set up instruction for Re-PAP patients, triage RT Calls, and assist in PAP classes
  • Ensure proper on-hand inventory and supplies quantities are maintained, including appropriate unit serialization tracking.
  • Perform processes for the Pulse Oximetry Program, to assist the clinical test coordinator, as needed.
  • Perform other job related functions as assigned.
Qualifications:Education: Graduate of an accredited high school or GED equivalence.Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Physical Requirements:
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience as administrative assistant or equivalent
  • Knowledge of PAP equipment, Respiratory equipment & basic DME industry helpful
  • Perform office/clerical motor skills and extensive computer and telephone usage.
  • Excellent communication and customer relation skills for both internal & external customers
  • Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills (a team player).
  • Demonstrate ability to multi-task.
